Guided tours during Venice Carnival

There are many ways to visit Venice: by foot, by gondola, alone or in a group, but only few know that there are mini guided tours that you can enjoy with a “Codega“.
A Codega is a very ancient role. Back in the 15th century, in Venice, he was a lord’s servant and he was in charge of holding the lantern and making light on the street.
Even if the role of the codega has been gone for centuries, nowadays some guided tours use it in a theatrical and modern way to arrange evocative group promenades, especially during Venice Carnival.
It is possible to book mini tours of about 1 hour each, where professional Venetian actors will take you around Venice and will tell you wonderful stories and secrets about the mysterious side of the city.
During Carnival, these tours will be organized by Oltrex in Venice: www.oltrex.it and you can also ask for tickets at your local travel agency.
If you want to find out something about Venice that no one else be able to tell you, during one of the most amazing periods of the year, you might find this idea interesting.

The price is only 29€ for adults and it’s free for kids of 15 or younger.
